2014 House Bill 5935

Revise eligibility for certain health-related welfare benefits

Introduced in the House

Nov. 12, 2014

Introduced by Rep. Jeff Irwin (D-53)

To revise the income caps for a program that allows certain disabled individuals who otherwise are not eligible for Medicaid to pay a sliding-scale fee based on income to get these health-related welfare benefits. The bill would provide a discount (subsidy) equal to 50 percent of the cost for individuals with gross income between $75,000 and $150,000, versos no discount under current law.
