To authorize an income tax credit of up to $250 for classroom supplies purchased by public school teachers. Note: Under a <a href="http://www.michigan.gov/documents/fees_guidance_2003_122775_7.pdf">1970 Supreme Court case</a>, school districts are required to provide an array of necessary classroom supplies at no cost to students' families (or teachers).
