2014 Senate Bill 944: Repeal ban on mandating Detroit employee residency
  1. Introduced by Sen. Morris Hood, III (D) on May 15, 2014, to exclude Detroit from the state law that prohibits local governments from imposing employee residency mandates. Under current law, a city can still prohibit employees from living more than 20 miles away.
