2014 House Bill 5393

Ban selling “e-cigarettes” to minors; regulate these as tobacco

Introduced in the House

March 4, 2014

Introduced by Rep. Gail Haines (R-43)

To ban selling or giving minors electronic vapor cigarettes, or any device that delivers nicotine, and mandate these be sold in child-proof containers. The bill would also define e-cigarettes as a “tobacco product,” which potentially subjects these to other state regulations, taxes and public place smoking bans.
