2013 House Bill 5043: Allow local gravel road speed limit setting
Introduced by Rep. Tom McMillin (R) on October 2, 2013 To allow a county road commission and township board to set speed limits on gravel roads, including different at different times of day. A 2006 law set "prima facie" statewide speed limits on gravel roads, and under current law can’t be changed locally without State Police approval.   Official Text and Analysis.
