2013 House Bill 4927: Let adoption agencies refuse adoptions that violate moral convictions
  1. Introduced by Rep. Andrea LaFontaine (R) on August 28, 2013, to specify in statute that a “child placing agency” (private adoption agency) is not required to assist or participate in an adoption that violates its written religious or moral convictions, including adoptions of a child by a homosexual.

      • Reported in the House on September 25, 2013, with the recommendation that the substitute (H-4) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
