Revise rental housing inspection regulations

To revise rental housing inspection fees, inspection intervals, landlord registration fees and more. Among other things the bill would authorize local enforcement agencies to charge landlords a one-time fee of not more than $100 per unit for mandated rental unit registrations, and not more than $40 to inspect a single apartment and $75 to inspect common areas and exteriors of multi-unit buildings.

Among other things the bill would allow but not require local enforcement agencies in communities of a certain size to mandate that landlords must register themselves and their rental units, prohibit charging landlords to register a property more than once, revise the maximum and minimum time between inspections based on various factors, and more.
