Revise teacher “professional development” detail

To revise a law allowing public schools to count up 38 hours of “professional development” programs for teachers against the 1,098 hours of student instruction they are required to provide each year. The bill would require this “development” be something that “may be directly incorporate into the teacher's job performance and used in the classroom,” and for which there is “reasonable empirical evidence” that indicating it will result in improved student achievement”.
