To exempt “waste diversion centers” from certain restrictive solid waste regulations. This refers to collection sites provided for certain hazardous or toxic household garbage, including pharmaceuticals, electronics, batteries, light bulbs, pesticides, thermostats and other devices that contain mercury and more. The bill would permit these services to continue without violating current state law.
