Introduced by Sen. Joe Hune (R) on January 24, 2012, to require drug testing of applicants for various state welfare benefits if a welfare caseworker has a reasonable suspicion, and prohibit benefits if a person tests positive.

Reported in the Senate on August 15, 2012, with the recommendation that the substitute (S-5) be adopted and that the bill then pass.

I too agree with brian wood However all state employees should be tested They work for us.

Public health has become finally public and i am very glad to hear that the community is dealing with its problems as it should do.
3) Re: 2012 Senate Bill 904 (Require drug testing of welfare applicants ) by TaterSalad on August 28, 2012 Brian Wood.............testing an applicant for drugs to "receive" an entitlement paid for buy the taxpayers who are footing the bill is alot different than a person who works and receives his own paycheck to purchase drugs. The taxpayers are not evolved in this expense. Re-Distribution of the Wealth (taxpayers money-entitlements) has to have strings attached unless you have the mindset like Barack Obama.
