Introduced by Rep. Ken Goike (R) on April 19, 2012, to require the 36 out of 38 Senators and 14 out of 110 current House members exempted from the recent repeal of lifetime health insurance benefits granted at age 55 to former legislators to contribute 5 percent of their salary to prefunding this benefit. The exemptions in the repeal bill were based on the date a lawmaker first took office.
