No new taxes.  All of Michigan is taxed enough already.

Governor Snyder and his BFF from the "civic" group Business Leaders for Michigan (BLM) are getting their ducks in a row. The BLF have two main initiatives.

1. University Research Corridor

2. The Aerotropolis

Reprentative Alberta Tinsley Talabi (D) Detroit is evidently playing in the Back Yard with Snyder and BLM. Don't think they will be out on the front portch anytime soon.

The Aerotropolis is nominally the Detroit Metro Airport and All forms of Transportation going to and from. The main deal however, is to build Snyder's bridge to Canada, and to develope the so called Pinnacle Property near the airport - using money confiscated from citizens in the form of higer taxes and fees. The Pinnacle Property scheme was put into place by former Governor Engler and Wayne County Executive McNamera. Governor Granholm and current Wayne County Executive passed out $36,000,000 of tax dollars for a failed Horse Racing Track. Government spin is that the property now has infrastructure ready for further developement.

Representative Tinsley Talabi's spin is that she is for citizens in her District. Never mind that Snyder and the Republican Caucus have been putting the screws to citizens thoughout all of Detroit and the entire State.
