Introduced by Rep. Rick Olson (R) on January 26, 2012, to eliminate the state “motor carrier fuel tax,” which would be replaced by the (substantially higher) fuel wholesale tax proposed by House Bill 5298 (and Senate Bill 918). This is part of Gov. Rick Snyder’s road and transit tax proposal.
