2011 House Bill 4693: Join multi-state Health Care Compact
  1. Introduced by Rep. Tom McMillin (R) on May 26, 2011, to authorize Michigan’s entry into a multi-state health care compact. If approved by congress all federal Medicaid and Medicare funds would be block-granted to member states, and member states would be exempt from health-related federal regulations and mandates. Member states would have primary responsibility for regulation of all nonmilitary health care goods and services in their state, plus health-related social welfare programs.
    • Referred to the House Health Policy Committee on May 26, 2011.

About how long would the process take before the HCC would become law?

Compact is just another name for socialism.  Don't accept this as reform... this is worse than what we had before Obamacare.  Demand Obamacare be repealed and then demand real free market solutions.  Socialism repackaged (-exchanges, compacts, Obamacare, Romneycare, single-payer, etc.--) isn't a solution.  Central planners never have good intentions and are never charitable.  They are people who place government before individual rights.  There is nothing humble, charitable, compassionate, efficient, noble or healthy about that.  Socialism is mean.
