Introduced by Rep. Jon Switalski (D) on March 23, 2011, to authorize an income tax credit of $5,000 against the purchase of a “green residential structure,” as defined by one of several specified private or government entities. Smaller tax breaks would be authorized for home additions that meet the definition.
