I think that this is a wonderful idea. As it stands, there are a decent amount of high school classes which correspond to college courses. However, currently the only courses schools let you take at college are those which they don't currently offer. If we give our high school students a head start on their college education, it will only benefit us as a state to have a higher quality of worker availalable. As it stands right now (2007 figures) 10 % have NO diploma, 30% have graduated, and 36% have a college degree. That means LESS than half of the state is college educated and unskilled factory jobs are evaporating by the thousands! In order to compete on a national/global scale, our people need a higher quality education. It's the best investment we can make. Better Workers = more jobs coming to the state = more taxes being generated!!!
