When the gas prices were high (over $4/gal), our economy went in the tank (no pun intended).  Exxon just posted low earnings recently - not as many billions as they posted in the past and are crying.  This means gas prices will rise to meet their greedy needs and more taxes at the pump as YOU'VE proposed will send those prices soaring even higher.  We won't drive as much, food and other items will cost us more because truckers will pay more and air travel will be a luxury only the rich can afford.  We are losing our jobs, can't afford to send our children to college and eating out is pure luxury.  How about we do away with lifetime benefits for those serving 6 years that are on the taxpayer's dime?  That would be worth fighting for.....and we could put that money back into the roads.
