Whatever happened to the care for everyday citizens that work work work and pay pay pay and get nothing nothing nothing...I am applauding our armed services, although,  to prioritize people over others is appauling to me no matter what they've done.  What about Foster Parents, they too are serving,   Who decides who's job is a state job or a federal job.  This is rediculous.  They aren't state employees, they are federal.  So for federal jobs, possibly the perfect fit, but for our state positions, shame on you.

I'm really surprised that this is now just coming to light. Was there really no vets preference on the books previously or were they overridden by affirmative action preferences?
