Medical research is such a double-edged sword!  While it is necessary for us to continue to advance in our knowledge about the way the human body works/doesn't work, it also uses a human body.  I believe this bill is an important step to ensure that we don't take advantage of those less-priviledged among us who tend to be the subjects of medical research.  It is usually the poor who sell their plasma, and take part in medical research trials, not those in the middle class. 


Yes, the fetuses already exist because abortion is legal, but this bill will make sure that we don't pay women to have abortions, especially under-educated, young women who are facing poverty.
