With the way our personal information is used against us (insurance, employment, identity theft etc..) I think we need to protect that information from being mined when it's unnecessary or without our knowledge (including when its buried in the fine print).

Since when and why does the State Government thnk they can pre-empt the Federal Protections mandated by Federal Law? This just dosen't make any sense to me.

I agree, State Government needs to butt out of the Federal Protections in place to protect those with these diseases. A classic example is the release in a Police Report of a persons HIV status to the news in Lansing.

I agree with the previous comment. The legislature needs to stay out of health decisions made by individuals. I dont need them to be my mother- i already have a mother! Butt out, guys!! Stop trying to play God-or Hitler.
