

Agreed. Bad ideas like corn ethanol must compete on a level field in order to expose them for what they are.

I agree with the premise that ethanol should compete on a level playing field with fossil fuel, but it seems that allowing ethanol plants on agricultural land, near of course to it's raw material source, just makes good sense. The bill limits it's proximity to land zoned residential.

The only way ethanol can be close to competitive is to exempt it from all the rules the rest of us have to put up with. Nice pet project for the government. It's much easier to win the game when you make up the rules. Make ethanol compete on a level field. This should not pass.
