I agree wholeheartedly with those who believe this training
requirement should cut both ways – motor vehicle driver’s training should include
“bicycle awareness,” and that bicyclists likewise should be required to have "motor vehicle awareness" training.

Bicycles are seasonal and there are how many miles of bike routes, there should be a fee imposed on bicycle that uses the streets, and there should be a license for riding a bicycle on the road, with a mandatory safety course. Driver ed classes lack in training of driving safely around semi trucks. I seen my sons course it was a joke, majority of the class was on drug abuse and pier pressure with alcohol, and to worry about just bicycles, means you have no clue what is taught in this class. Why are politicians so out of touch with the people that they work for? Every bill I read leads me to think I could do better job a making a bill that the people would want then the persons that are elected. I would ask the all people about the bill , they would play a big part in it. You do work for them.

How about adding All bicycle riders take a course on what there responsibilities are for riding on the road.  I have never seen a group on riders stop at a stop sign when riding on the country roads.  They get to use tthe roads without paying any license fee.  Lets charge them like everyone else.
