I think some of this is an overreaction to the Detroit situation. The costs of background checks will be a hardship for some small cities. The provision denying poverty exemptions to people who own other properties denies the right to farmers who own multiple properties, retirees who earn income from rental properties, and small business owners. That's not fair. Don't cause greater problems while trying to solve one.

I swear,


the vast majority of our Democrat 'public servants' in Michigan spend most of their time calculating how to squeeze more money out of the taxpayers.
