Introduced by Sen. Michael Switalski (D) on February 19, 2009, to require steroid testing and counseling for high school athletes, and require schools to report to the state the number of students who tested positive.

Our high school athletes are the leaders in drug use. If you are going to require drug testing for sports, band, choir and clubs. But before you do that supply the money. Our schools are strained financially like I have never seen before. There are the new high school draduation requirements, new kindergarten requirements, finger printing, highly qualified teeacher requirements., All mandates that have not been funded.

We need financial relief, not more mandates.
