• Introduced by Sen. Liz Brater (D) on February 3, 2009, to prohibit sentencing an individual convicted as a juvenile to imprisonment for life without the possibility of parole. This is the maximum penalty in Michigan law and is only imposed for the most serious crimes of violence.
