Introduced by Rep. Lesia Liss (D) on October 27, 2009, to impose new regulations on pharmacies and pharmacists that are attached to a health care provider facility, nursing home, mental health facility, etc. (“medical institutions”). These regulations would, among other things, establish procedures for when a pharmacist is not on duty and drugs are dispensed, including ones on “medication drug kits" required to meet the therapeutic needs of a resident at those times.
Referred to the House Ethics and Elections Committee on October 27, 2009.
