They want you to work based on a competitive labor market.  Paying someone $35 an hour to do a job that could be done by someone for $10 an hour will cost other people their jobs.

An artificially set pay scale which arbitrarily sets wage ceilings based on an artificially established minimum wage which unions demand is simply stupid.  Of course the Michigan United Auto Workers and other union manufacturers will support such a standard.  This is what has chased industry out of our state to such place as Alabama, Mexico, and China.  In the end we have what we planned on by such a standard.  Allow the free market to work and don't be dupped by union bosses and those who create these arcane and idiotic regulations.  Bidding on school contracts should not be limited to union organizations.
