 You would think before legislators submit new legislation like this they would do their homework rather than react to media hype. Georgia tried this and it was ruled unconstitutional. Kentucky's Supreme court just ruled the entire residency restriction unconstitutional. On top of that the US Justice Dept statistics show that less than 5% of child molestation is committed due to "stranger danger" Children are far more likely to be abused byfamily members or someone known to them.


This is just another attempt to appease the hyped up media and will cost the state hudreds of thousands of dollars to defend in court.

 There is a bus stop on every street almost every 100 feet.  So does this law mean


they can't be anywhere?  Every street has multiple bus stops.  If so then those offenders


will get out of prison and then be in probation violation and get sent right back.
