Introduced by Rep. Mark Meadows (D) on September 30, 2009, to repeal a property tax exemption on leased residential water softeners, and office and home water coolers. Fiscal analyses of earlier versions of this proposal indicated that it would increase the taxes paid by citizens approximately $500,000.
