Introduced by Rep. David Agema (R) on September 2, 2009, to make a person ineligible to collect unemployment insurance benefits if he or she loses a job because a government-mandated occupational license has been revoked or suspended. Note: In recent years a number of bills have been introduced and some passed that authorize suspension of occupational licenses for unrelated matters, such as not paying court-ordered child support.
Referred to the House Labor Committee on September 2, 2009.
