Introduced by Rep. Judy Nerat (D) on August 4, 2009, to exempt the inheritance of a parent’s principle residence by his or her child from the taxable value "pop up," where the property tax taxable value jumps from a capped value to the current market value upon sale.

Since it doesn't seem any more unfair for an inherited house to be taxed at the "pop up" rate than for a newly purchased house to be so taxed, I do wonder WHO KNOWS a "child" who has inherited his/her parents' house and would prefer to pay less taxes. Hey, wouldn't we all???
