Another "Big Brother" tactic.  We are  Americans and do not need to be censused to death!  I don't want anyone deciding or disciplined because they "guessed" wrong on my heritage. Get the government out of heritage identity. Get the government out of tracking every nuance of our lives. This is another venue for tracking racial identity, creating more bureaucracy for "Special" actions based on heritage.

"An officer who violates this subsection by failing to ascertain or attempt to ascertain the race or ethnicity of the

individual to whom the citation is issued or by reporting false information on the citation is guilty of misconduct and subject to administrative discipline by his or her employer.

     (5) Information reported on a citation as described under subsection (4) shall be collected by the law enforcement agency that employs the officer who issued the citation. The law enforcement agency shall forward that information to the department of state police in a form and manner as determined by the department of state police."
