Introduced by Rep. Richard J. Ball (R) on May 13, 2009, to create a statewide advance health care directive registry in the Secretary of State office. Individuals could file their advanced care directives, and health care providers could consult it when a person is seriously ill.

If the Mackinac Center's synopsis of this bill is accurate (and it is), this seems like a very positive step toward serving the interests of Michigan citizens in securing control over their own lives (or, in this case, deaths). A refreshing approach to legislation.

Just give up on the micro-management efforts! Another wast time-waste money top-down management idea. Jusat give it up-no wonder the state is broke!
