Introduced by Rep. Tim Melton (D) on May 13, 2009, to prohibit a health insurance company from cancelling coverage because of a failure to resolve all reasonable questions arising from the written information on an application before issuing the coverage. Also, to prohibit an insurer in the small employer group market from raising rates in a renewed policy due to the claims experience or any change in the health status of a covered employee.

Actually, there is really not much wonder as to why health insurance is so expensive. It's a profit based business. Insurance companies make money only by collecting premiums and denying healthcare. Pretty simple.
