This is a good law and I am pleased to see it passed and signed by the Governor. I believe it is to give the Health Department more teeth in enforcing the smoking ban in restaurants, bars, and work places.

This is a good law.  If you are going to give agencies (like local health departments) enforcement duties and authorities, then it is important their enforcement activities have some teeth in them.

GENEMP: You want to get the felons off the streets? Who would do law enforcement? Where would you find a lawyer if you really ever needed one? The Jail? What would we do with all those black robes just hanging there? Who would be responsibile for boarding up the windows on the capital?  Winterizing it? GENEMP: When are you taking over? Oh, by the way, watch your back, there are so many laws on the books today, I'm almost sure you have already committed at least one felony. Camera phones are the greatest invention today, if only people knew how to use them.
