2009 House Bill 4900 (Authorize penalty for refusing health department order )

Introduced by Rep. Tim Moore (R) on May 7, 2009, to establish that a person who violates a regulation of a local health department or order of a local health officer is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $200 fine. Under current law the maximum jail time is 90 days.

SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER MONEY GRAB, SIX MONTHS AND $200.00 FOR NOT LISTENING TO SOME JERK ABOUT A HEATH CARE LAW OR ORDER! iF YOU WANT ME TO STOP DOING SOMETHING ASK ME OR GET A COURT ORDER. I THE MEANTIME, GET THE THOUSANDS OF FELLONS OFF THE STREET. CAN THEY FIND ANY OF THE 15,000,000 ILLEGAL ALIENS OR ARE THEY PICKING THE POCKET OF THE MIDDLE CLASS LOOKING TO GET A FEW CLICK IT OR TICKET DOLLARS. I DONT KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE, BUT I THINK WE NEED A FEW MORE LEADERS AND A FEW LESS LAWMAKERS. IF THEY CANT WORK TO USE OUR TAX DOLLARS TO IMPROVE OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE IN MICHIGAN, VOTE THEM THE HELL OUT OF LANSING.

HOW ABOUT THIS. WHEN ELECTED, LEGISLATORS SIGN A LIST OF WHAT THEY WILL ACCOMPLISH. ANY DEVIATION AND ITS A $200,000.00 FINE AND THEY ARE FLOGGED ON TV.

Dont even tell me this is 'for the children'! They want to make sure the next time they come up with a terrifying swine flu epidemic that they can force us all to take some untried vaccine the govt paid billions to the pharmaceutical companies to deveop and it wont go to waste!

Good thing the current one came thru when it did-Al Gore's investment firm was about to lose a lot of $$ because the Tamiflu they stockpiled was due to expire and would have to be dumped! Always-follow the money!

Upon a second violation maybe they should be shot. After all we should not question the all knowing health department officers.
