Introduced by Rep. George Cushingberry (D) on March 26, 2009, to create a state indigent defense counsel fund to pay for defense lawyers for indigent defendants. The money would come from the new fees proposed by House Bill 4706.

Why not make every lawyer that wants to practice in this state do the work pro-bono? Make them all take a turn at defending without fee, and maybe when they get to the house and senate as they all seem to want to do they will have a better understanding of what the rest of us peons, have to go thru.
