Introduced by Rep. Dudley Spade (D) on March 25, 2009, to authorize penalties of up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for an employee or official of the executive branch of state government who intentionally provides information to a legislative committee or subcommittee that he or she knows is false or misleading, or who falsifies, conceals, or covers up any material fact from the committee or subcommittee by any trick, scheme, or device.

There is nothing in this bill that mentions the Executive Branch. It says "A person" that could be anyone. What I find humorous is that thsi is being brought to us by the very people who have elevated lying, cheating and stealing to an "Art Form." LOL LOL LOL

yes, but in a good way. punish dishonesty. punish theft. punish tyranny.

This law will only make prison crowding worse.
