• Introduced by Rep. Shanelle Jackson (D) on March 17, 2009, to revise the terms of the law passed in December, 2008 transferring Cobo Hall from Detroit to a regional Authority. The bill would give Detroit and Wayne County combined a majority on an expanded board, raise the payment to Detroit to transfer the facility from $20 million to $35 million, and require the Authority to pay Detroit $500,000 annually. The bill does not amend the provision giving each member of the Authority board veto power.
