Trauma scene waste management practitioners should be screened prior to their entering the profession.  If they qualifyto be hired for that purpose, they need no regulation.   This is another case of bloated bureaucracy and a way to extract from them a $75 fee to practice their profession.  The government does not need that money nor should it have it.

2) 2009 House Bill 4458 (Regulate “trauma scene waste management practitioners” ) [by admin on January 1, 2001]
Introduced in the House on February 24, 2009, to require state registration (licensure) and regulation of “trauma scene waste management practitioners,” who engage in the cleanup, handling, and transport of trauma scene waste from a trauma scene. There would be a $75 registration fee, and the person would have to meet certain requirements and undertake certain actions specified in the bill. The state would then post on the internet and periodically distribute the current list of registered trauma scene waste management practitioners to other public health agencies and citizens who request it

The vote was 72 in favor, 36 opposed and 2 not voting
