2009 House Bill 4431 (Let local police agencies keep confiscated guns )

Introduced by Rep. Mark Meadows (D) on February 24, 2009, to allow local law enforcement agencies to keep any firearms confiscated for violations of state gun laws. Under current law these must be turned over to the State Police.

well yes, stu. it IS what the n.r.a. has warned us about for years.

any state that has so little regard for the second amendment rights of it's citizens that they mandate every weapon be catalogued by the state for easy confiscation will not be bothered with fourth amendment search and seizure issues involving the confiscation of those very weapons.

Looky here... a LITERAL "gun grabber" bill! Isn't this what the NRA has been warning us about for years now? Guess they aren't so crazy!
