Let's bend the rules some more for Detroit-as if they don't bend them enough themself. Isn't giving Detroit "special treatment"-in other words-kissing Detoits behind- one of the reasons Detroit is in it's plight?  What next from their representatives-a bill making Kwame Kilpatrick Mayor for life?

 NO NO NO NO !!!!

It is time to stop pouring money into Detroit Public Schools.  We might as well flush it down the toilet or give it to AIG.  At least then we'll know where it goes.

Detroit public schools is no different than the rest of the state that is losing students therefore they should get the same treatment.  If you look at their record of corruption and waste, it's insane to continue funding it.

I aplaud the state for (finally) moving in to force change in the DPS finance division.  I encourage and aplaud the efforts of the new financial manager - He's terrific already.  However..  fiscal management does not mean throwing resources and money at it.  it means fixing it !
