It is a good idea. I am surprised it is not required already. I don't think I would work in a facility that made me launder my own!!

I for one am surprised this is not already set in place for how many deadly diseases are transmitted through blood and other body fluids. As a nursing student and hopefully future nurse I would never bring home scrubs that are covered in blood, it could contaminate all my other clothes, my families clothes, and maybe even my family which could potenitally add to the spread of harmful diseases. Health facilities should definitally be required to launder employee "srubs" in these types of situations, if not launder, then replace the destroyed srubs they are not willing to launder.
