1) Who's going to pay for it??? by inform4 on November 18, 2008 Who does Sen. Michael Switalski plan on paying for college educations for prisoners? I bet it is the already over-burdened taxpayers.
Isn't it enough of a burden for the law-abiding taxpayer to try to pay for their own education?
Where does it state in our Michigan Constitution that the taxpayer should pay for educating law breakers? Reply
2) Silly Me by Anonymous Citizen on November 13, 2008 I thought it would be a computor/correspondence type deal. I can't imagine how feasible this is when so many inmates don't even have a HS diploma. I'm all for accessibility to classes at the expense of the inmate but don't know what kind of classes could be taught inside the prison. Reply
