Introduced by Sen. Samuel B. Thomas, III (D) on September 18, 2008, to repeal a provision of the state liquor code that explicitly allows a hotel designed to attract and accommodate tourists and visitors in a resort area to allow invitees or guests to possess or consume alcohol they purchased from an off-premises retailer, or to give alcohol to guests or visitors as part of a business event or as a part of a room special or promotion.
