2008 Senate Bill 1340 (Revise open-alcohol while driving penalties )

Introduced by Sen. Mark Schauer (D) on May 27, 2008, to create a new felony for driving with an open container of alcohol and any bodily alcohol content, if the driver causes injury or death to another person. The penalty for injuring someone would be up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine, and up to 15 years and $10,000 for killing someone.

It's just another bold faced money grab by the usefull idiots in lansingistan. They only car about money, your money and how they can get it in their pockets. The depriving of rights thingy is just a bonus for them. gotta keep us serfs down on the farm you know.

perhaps he just got a bad case of "what if", sort of like the liberals get when faced with expansions of liberties and freedoms.

perhaps he just read SEVERAL of the bits of legislation offered on this subject, and 'combined' them into one post.

perhaps he has been in an accident with a 'designated drunkard' in the back seat, and had the thing labeled 'alcohol related'.

or perhaps he is just reading the 'writing on the wall'...
