Mark Schauer (D) on March 19, 2008, to increase from 4 percent to 6 percent of state employee salaries the amount the state much contribute to a government worker’s 401k-type defined contribution retirement account; increase from 3 percent the amount an employee can deposit; and increase the required employer-match for these employee deposits to that same amount.
