Introduced by Sen. Liz Brater (D) on February 28, 2008, the executive recommendation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2008-2009 Department of Environmental Quality budget. This would appropriate $368.4 million in gross spending, compared to $370.8 million, which was the FY 2007-2008 amount enrolled in 2007. Of this, $44.9 million will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2007-2008 amount of $31.7 million, and $173.3 million is from other state sources including debt, fees, royalties, etc., compared to $182.2 million in the previous budget.
