Introduced by Sen. Liz Brater (D) on February 28, 2008, the executive recommendation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2008-2009 Department of Natural Resources budget. This would appropriate $286.9 million in gross spending, compared to $289.4 million, which was the FY 2007-2008 amount enrolled in 2007. Of this, $23.4 million will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2007-2008 amount of $25.2 million. Another $206.5 million comes from other state sources including debt, fees, royalties, etc., compared to $210.5 million in the previous budget.
