Introduced by Sen. Martha G. Scott (D) on January 22, 2008, to restrict the ability of auto insurance providers to list the amount of an insurance customer's bill that is associated with mandatory unlimited personal injury protection (PIP) coverage provided by the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association and paid for by MCCA assessments on auto insurance bills. The bill would regulate the content of such notices.
Referred to the Senate Economic Development and Regulatory Reform Committee on January 22, 2008.
1) Fair Disclosure by Andrea on January 26, 2008 I want an itemized list of my auto insurance and I want to know how much is being stolen for the MCCA. It's ridiculous that I have to pay $150 extra on each vehicle even if one is only driven a couple of thousand miles a year. Don't try to hide the theft of hundreds of dollars from the consumer. Reply
