Joel Sheltrown (D) on February 20, 2008, to express Michigan's support for the right to bear arms prescribed by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and to encourage the United States Supreme Court to rule that any infringement on this right should be subject to the highest level of constitutional scrutiny.

I support the concept. But this is a waste of time, energy and paper.

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. If our Founding Fathers considered it important enough to make it our 2nd Amendment the right to keep and bear arms -- then what is it that our U.S. Supreme Court should not understand?

Michigan's Constitution - Article I,Section 6 -"Every person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state."

Is the above clear enough for everyone?
